We hosted a birthday family meal here. Fantastic food all round! We all left very happy and feeling elevated! Thank you chef for going out of your way for us. It was very well executed! Waitress was also very knowledgeable about the product and attentive. Beautiful surroundings with some lovely details. Everyone in my party, all fussy I will add, were extremely impressed! Good work!

Very cosy, good beer, nice garden. The cooking is at a high level. The fireplace gives a nice atmosphere. It is decorated with old cricket memorabilia, as Thomas Lord was buried in the cemetery near the pub.

I needed to find a place to eat middle distance between family members. So I stuck a pin in a map. The Thomas Lord is a traditional village pub, wooden floors, open fires good beers. The food, though simple sounding, was cooked to perfection and presented beautifully. The steaks were cooked as requested and the ox cheek dish was sublime. The service was attentive but not over bearing. I hope to return in the very near future. Lovely pub, lovely food.

This is a wonderful pub, plenty of oak and leather, with its fair share of class. We came for the food and it didn't disappoint. Mainly sourced locally, superbly presented, and equally up to measure on the taste front. Fantastic!

Having had a couple of lunches at the pub earlier in the year, we booked an evening meal for a large group of 16 of us. The lovely pub had wonderful food, and the staff really looked after us. It is ideal for small or large groups, as they have various options for rooms, tables and groups sizes. Third recent visit and the experience just gets better!
